Let God love you and save you

Surrender to God

1. God Loves You!
The Word of God says: « God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. God, in fact, did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. » « The Love of Christ surpasses every knowledge » .

The problem is that:
2. All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God.
The Word of God says: « All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. » God is perfect and holy, and our sins have separated us from Him. Our sins can also be passive indifference to God, or the revolt against Him. And the result of sin is death, first through spiritual death. We cannot get close to God by our efforts, because sooner or later we fall.

The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago,
3. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to be our Saviour.
Jesus is the Son of God. He shared all of our sufferings in life without committing any sin, then he died on the cross, by action of our sins, manifesting from His great Love with which He loves us. Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father.
Jesus said « I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. » He offers you the gift of eternal life – to live forever with Him in heaven – and has revealed that His Father is also yours! God reaches out in love to you.
You can choose to ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your life as your Lord and Saviour, and so to come back to your Father.

This is a possibility for you (and perhaps now might be the chance of your life):
4. If you want to accept Christ as Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:
« Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and rising. I invite you into my life to be my Lord and Savior and into my heart to forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life with you. I give you my life. Do what you want through me, for I trust you. »
You can continue: « Holy Father I give you thanks and adore you, for you have created me and the whole world through the spilling over of your love; you appealed to me and I return to you by your grace, and attach myself to you with confidence in your absolute goodness and the Holy Spirit that gives Life ».

If you really want to change your life:
5. If you really want this decision to change your life for eternity, cooperate with God:
– Seek to know Him through His Word, how much He loves you and how you can do His Will.
– Be guided by other Christians, for God has wanted us to need each other in His Church.
Pray without ceasing, for there you let Him transform and unite yourself with Him
– If you fall, never despair, just trust in His Mercy, rise and continue from desire to go to Him.
– Ask to receive the Sacraments, for in them He gives himself totally and personally to you
Finally, journey with Mary, She is His Mother and your Mother, through whom Christ, the unique Mediator, pours out tenderness and graces without counting.

Mother Teresa is an ordinary person that has shown it is possible and easy to put the above information into everyday life.

In spite of her crisis of faith, she never stopped believing in God’s infinite unconditional love and mercy for every living person, and she allowed God to take hold, guide, and shape her life.

Mother Teresa’s message for you is simple: God is a living person that offers you an opportunity to enter into a relationship of absolute Love with Him. Our hearts will never find rest until they find Him. He constantly offers you inner peace and happiness, in this world and in eternal Life.

You can have this, by giving your life over to God, who is Love and the source of all Love: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the perfect unity of the Trinity. This fulfils the first and greatest commandment: listen to God who is One, and love God with all your heart and soul.

If you allow this total love for God to happen, you can easily fulfil the second greatest commandment: love your neighbour as yourself.

Mother Teresa sums up this message in the following saying:
The Fruit of Silence is Prayer,
The Fruit of Prayer is Faith,
The Fruit of Faith is Love,
The Fruit of Love is Service,
The Fruit of Service is Peace.
